Big Blue Hoop Camp 2012
The Peru Big Blue Hoop Camp has announced its summer 2012 schedule. The camp will be open to all boys and girls entering grades three to 10 from June 25 to June 29, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The cost of the camp is $100 per camper and is held on the Peru Central School Districts facilities. An online brochure can be found at http://www.perucsd.org/physed or under the athletics link. More brochures can be found at all main offices at Peru Central School.

Peru Basketball 2011-2012
The Peru Youth Basketball Program will start this Saturday, Nov. 19, for the clinic portion of the program. All 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls will report at 9 a.m. for the two-hour clinic and the 5th and 6th grade boys only will report at 11 a.m. on the same day at the intermediate gym.
Walk-in registration is allowed and pamphlets are currently being handed out in school to students. For additional information, contact John Clemons at jclemons@perucsd.org or at 420-8528.

Peru Ski Club 2011-2012
The Peru Ski Club will be holding its final registration date on Dec. 1 at Town Hall from 6-7 p.m. The Ski Club is open to Peru Central School district students ages 7-18.
Cost for the entire program is $120 for six select Sundays. Cost includes six lift tickets and a two hour group lesson each week.

The camp is open to all area youths ages eight to 13 and will feature instruction in the fundamentals of football by present and past Peru coaches.

PERU — The North Country Baseball Camp will be held at Laphams Mills Park from July 11 through 15. The camp is for students entering first through 12th grade in the fall. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.
The cost is $150, which includes a t-shirt and a written evaluation. Returning campers will receive a 10 percent discount. Family and team rates are also available.

Peru Youth Basketball
The Peru youth basketball program has sent registration information to all boys in grades 3-6 through school distribution.
If registration forms are needed, email or call Matt Berry at berrymatt@rocketmail.com or call 569-7423 to have a registration form emailed to you or sent to you.

Big Blue Hoop Camp
The annual Peru Indians Big Blue Hoop Camp, for boys and girls entering grades 1-9 in the fall, will be held July 6-10 on the Peru Central School Campus. The all-day camp will runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6-9 and from 9 a.m.-noon on Friday for players going into grades 3-9.
Mini-campers, or players entering grades 1-2, will meet from 9 a.m.-noon all week.
The cost of the camp is $110 for full-day campers (grades 3-9) and $55 for mini-campers. The cost includes a customized Rock basketball, customized Peru basketball t-shirt, a player evaluation, off-season workout and great instruction from a vast background of basketball minds.
A player can get the instruction, perks and highlights of a travel camp without the travel. The Camp Director is Matt Berry, Head Coach of the Peru Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team.

The Town of Peru Youth Commission will hold registration for summer activities, including baseball/softball, and fall soccer on Friday, April 3, from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 9 a.m.-noon, at the Peru town Hall.
Currently, a survey is being circulated throughout the Peru and Intermediate schools seeking information on interest and participation in the summer programs. All town residents are encouraged to fill out the survey and return it to the school office by March 20. The Youth Commission is committed to obtaining as much information as possible to allow for activities that would involve as many children as possible.

An informal baseball mini camp for Peru youths ages 8-13 is planned with the focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, confidence and commitment. The program will be July 1-3 and 7-10 from 9 a.m.-noon.
The idea behind the program is to develop the skills of players in the area between age 8-13 to advance to the next level in play.

Hoop Camp
The Peru Indians Big Blue Hoop Camp, offering instruction, guest speakers and added events, will be held July 7-11 at the high school this year. The camp will include half-day sessions (9 a.m.-noon) for athletes entering grades 1-2 at a cost of $55 per camper and full-day sessions (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) for students entering grades 3-9 at a cost of $110. The final day for all campers sessions will feature an awards ceremony and pizza party at 12:30 p.m.
Registration will start at 8:15 a.m. Monday, July 7, in the Peru High School Lobby. Walk-ins will be accepted, but pre-registrations are preferred.
