The Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club will offer a limited number of camperships to the DEC Environmental Camps at Colby, DeBruce, Rushford, and Pack Forest.
These camperships will award $275 toward the $325 cost of attending one of the week-long sessions which are held during July and August. The DEC camp programs offer 12-to-17 year-old campers a week of outdoor and environmental education, hiking and canoeing. Campership applicants should send a letter describing reason they'd like to attend a DEC Environmental Education Camp to: ADK-Algonquin Camperships, P.O. Box 338, Dannemora, N.Y. 12929-0338. Letters must be received by Feb. 5, 2009 and must include age, date of birth, phone number and return address.
